We endorse candidates for political office that stand for the Green Party's 10 Key Values and the party platform.
The Green Party of Allegheny County is now accepting applications for Green candidates in the 2019 municipal general election!
Green candidates do not run in the primary election, but instead run in the general election in November only. To run, you cannot be a candidate on the ballot in the primary election. Please check out our Run for Office page for more information, or Contact Us if you have questions and would like to apply!
The Green Party of Allegheny County was proud to endorse and support Jay Ting Walker for state representative in the 23rd district in the 2018 election. Jay finished with about 10% of the vote, over 2300 votes! We would like to thank Jay for his hard work for his campaign and the Green Party in general as we look forward to a stronger 2019!
The Green Party of Pennsylvania had also endorsed Jay Walker, as well as statewide candidates: Neal Gale (US Senate), Paul Glover (Governor), Jocolyn Bowser-Bostick (Lt. Governor)! To learn more about the statewide candidates, see the GPPA press release. All of our candidates ran on a "Green New Deal" that put people and planet over profits.
